This package generates a number of Christmas cards, most of them being animated. The name of each card includes the year in which it was created. Futher details can be found here.

A small historical footnote

When GitHub created its 2020 Archive Program snapshot, this package was among the repositories selected for long-term preservation. A copy of the source code is now stored in the Arctic Code Vault, a secure archive located about 250 metres inside an Arctic mountain in Svalbard, Norway. The archive is designed to preserve open-source software for at least 1,000 years.

While it is not a software award or a badge of quality, just an interesting piece of trivia, it’s certainly fun to know that this little christmas package is literally archived in the Arctic for future generations.
